Hendrik Van Keppel and Taylor Green founded the highly influential Van Keppel-Green industrial design firm. At one point romantically involved, the two became friends and then business partners. Their precisely designed and sometimes ingeniously convertible furniture was featured at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in the 1940s and 1950s.
