Though we couldn’t find much info on these pendant lamps, the method by which they are made has an interesting history which we'll describe below:

Michael Thonet, founder of Gebruder Thonet, is as much remembered for inventing furniture construction techniques as he is for designing furniture. His breakthrough development was the bentwood method, a novel approach to creating wooden curvature. The bentwood method involved soaking or steaming wood, then bending it and allowing it to harden into an arced shape. This method represented a departure from the heavier, carved designs that were in vogue during the early 1800s.
