The Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby Loop Desk is made of lacquered rosewood and stainless steel.
Barber and Osgerby conceived of the Loop Desk when they were asked to furnish a London restaurant (the holes at the top of the desk double as storage space for menus). The Loop Desk was Barber and Osgerby’s first collaborative effort and remains one of their most well regarded designs.
Edward and Jay Osgerby are the founders of Universal Design Studio. Their work can be found in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Design Museum in London, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
