Branco & Preto is Brazilian furniture company founded in 1952 by Miguel Forte, Pinio Groce, Jacob Ruchti, Roberto Aflalo, Carlos Millan and Che Y Hwa, all six of whom met while studying architecture at The Mackenzie School of Engineering. Having difficulty finding furniture coherent with their own architectural style, Branco & Preto decided to design and manufacture furniture themselves.
